ABOUT US

  1. WHO WE ARE

“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”

Dr. Seuss.

The “Congolese American Foundation. Inc” is a non-profit and non-governmental and non- partisan organization committed to fostering responsive and successful integration of the citizens of Congolese origin living in the US, as well as advocating for policies that promote peace, stability, democracy, good governance, human rights, human dignity and development in Congo.

CAF encourages all Diaspora Congolese and their many organizations to foster the building of progressive Diaspora programs that can ensure that the Congolese become responsive and productive citizens while playing a positive role toward the stability and the development of Congo. As noted by the United States Agency for International Development, `Given its size, population, and resources, the Congo is an important player in Africa and of long-term interest to the United States.’.

… The Democratic Republic of the Congo is 2,345,410 square miles (approximately 1/4 the size of the United States), lies at the heart of Africa, and touches every major region of sub-Saharan Africa. Therefore, a secure, peaceful, and prosperous Democratic Republic of the Congo would have a profound impact on progress throughout Africa”. {Source.  DRC Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act of 2006, SEC. 101.
